HGTV has been turning heads and attracting eyes for a long time now, and April 2016 continues the trend. It's the highest-rated and most-watched April ever among adult viewers, aged 25 to 54, up 9 percent over lastl year,

That, in itself, is a great ratings story. But it's just the first chapter. Travel Channel enjoyed its highest-rated April in three years; primetime ratings were up 15 percent among adults, and 26  percent among women!

Over at Cooking Channel, ratings and audience impressions grew double-digits. DIY Network had its best April ever among women, while Great American Country experienced its highest-rated April since 2009.

Not to be out-baked, the new Food Network series,  Cooks vs. Cons , posted ratings increases of 18 percent (P25-54) and 47 percent (P25-34) versus last year, while Beat Bobby Flay saw year-over-year increases of 10 percent (P25-54) and 48 percent (P25-34). Food Netowrk continues to attract younger  viewers, as families watch together.
