HGTV has taken root in New Zealand. Through a partnership with Blue Ant Media, America’s leading home and lifestyle brand continued its international roll-out June 27 on the nation’s Freeview channel 17.

As is the case in North America, HGTV promises viewers the best in home renovation, do-it-yourself and real estate programming. Many of the proograms at launch will look familiar to HGTV fans in the U.S.: Fixer Upper (see photo at right), Flip or FlopTiny House, Big Living, and we're happy to introduce these programs to Kiwis for the first time.

HGTV appeared for the first time outside of North America in late 2014. Since then, it has secured the position as the No. 1 lifestyle channel in Singapore and is ranked the most engaging lifestyle channel across Singapore, Philippines and Malaysia. We've introduced the brand and programming to viewers in Australia – in partnership with Channel Nine -- as an HGTV programming block on Nine Life, as well as a channel launch on IPTV provider Fetch TV. We're commissioning original content for HGTV with the first ever production of House Hunters Asia.

The Asia-Pacific region is a major growth opportunity, and we are hardout chuffed to call New Zealand home.
