Case in point: nearly 3 million viewers tuned in to watch the Season Four premiere on June 9, easily the highest-rated in the show’s history. It helped drive HGTV to the No. 1 slot for the night among ALL cable networks. Three shows landed in the Top 10, including an original episode of House Hunters and a Flip or Flop encore (we used to call them “reruns.”)
Often by a fourth season, many TV shows start to fade as viewers’ attention wanders to the next shiny new program. Flip or Flop shows no such signs, as it continues to draw the kind of upscale, highly engaged audience it did for its first three terms.
People relate to Tarek and Christina as they juggle the running of a successful business with the demands of a growing family. That’s what keeps Flip or Flop on top.
