As senior vice president, deputy general counsel and corporate secretary, Talbott oversees a wide range of governance and regulatory compliance matters, including the company’s required filings and disclosures with the Securities & Exchange Commission and the New York Stock Exchange. She also guides the annual proxy and shareholder meeting process, and serves as the company’s primary shareholder services contact.
During her tenure at Scripps Networks, Talbott has provided guidance over litigation, mergers, acquisitions, contracting, and international expansion. Talbott also has management responsibility for meetings of the board of directors, and is one of the company’s liaisons with its controlling shareholders. She reports to Cynthia Gibson, executive vice president and chief legal officer.

Talbott has served as senior vice president, deputy general counsel and assistant corporate secretary since 2008. She was previously associate general counsel for The E.W. Scripps Company since 2006.
Before joining Scripps Networks, Talbott worked for Cincinnati Bell, Inc., as corporate counsel and assistant corporate secretary. She previously practiced as a litigator at the law firms Greenebaum, Doll & McDonald PLLC and Schletker, Hornbeck and Moore, in Kentucky. Talbott holds a juris doctorate from Salmon P. Chase College of Law, as well as a bachelor’s degree in social studies and secondary education from Northern Kentucky University. Talbott serves on the board of trustees of the Cincinnati Ballet.
