Cooking with Food Network just got even easier. The flagship In the Kitchen app has released a new hands-free feature on iOS named “Cook with Me” that will take the cooking experience for Food Network fans to the next level. With the new hands-free update to the essential cooking app, users will be able to cook some of their favorite recipes without getting their hands dirty, thanks to Sage, our helpful new recipe assistant.
When users open the In the Kitchen app on their iPhones (available for download in the App Store), the “Cook with Me” section will be featured under the main Top Picks section. Once they choose their recipe, Sage will chime in with a quick lesson on how to use the voice commands feature. Users can say “Sage next” and “Sage previous” to move forwards and backwards in the recipe steps, and each step will include a helpful video of the cooking process that viewers can play and use as a guide. At the end, users will be greeted by confetti and applause from Sage--because it’s totally deserved!
“We are always looking to solve our customers’ most common cooking problems when we think about making new updates to all of our Food Network products,” said Al Ming, the director of product, apps, and emerging technologies at Scripps Lifestyle Studios, which handles Food Network’s digital operations. “The Cook with Me hands-free feature is an essential tool for modern cooking experiences, and we are excited to bring this update to the In the Kitchen app.”
The “Cook with Me” feature will launch with a variety of pasta, salad, entree, dessert, and appetizer recipes. Over time, more seasonal recipes and dishes from Food Network kitchen’s chefs will be available to cook hands-free. Start cooking now on the In the Kitchen app with these recipes:
