Would you let your neighbor decide the color of your living room? How about the materials used for your fireplace surround or your kitchen countertops? With DIY Network's first interactive television series, Blog Cabin, the whole world was invited to weigh in on key design elements of a fabulous log cabin nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains. Host Amy Devers takes the reins on the overall build from start to finish in this half-hour series. DIY experts, such as licensed contractor Amy Matthews (Bathroom Renovations), landscaper Ahmed Hassan (The Dirt On ... ), and carpenter Jason Cameron (Man Caves), join Devers to bring the mountain retreat to life. Watch DIY Network build the cabin one blog at a time with the premiere of Blog Cabin on Thursday, Aug. 16 at 9 p.m. ET and enter daily for a chance to win it by logging on to http://www.diynetwork.com/blogcabin.

From its launch in February 2007, it was clear the network's first interactive initiative was a hit! DIY's companion Web site, DIYnetwork.com, invited visitors to vote each day on 13 projects to be incorporated into the cabin built in Townsend, Tenn. By early April, more than 4.2 million votes were cast, 1.7 million pages viewed, and 2,800 blog comments were posted, resulting in final decisions on the floor plan, roof, countertops, front door, and more!

During construction (mid-April to July), a blog about the build led by host Amy Devers, advice on the best practices, along with online discussions, photos and videos were available on DIY's Web site, and will continue throughout the airing of the Blog Cabin TV series.

Also debuting the first week of August, DIYnetwork.com will feature a 360-degree tour of the completed cabin; multiple photo galleries; video exclusives for each episode of the TV series; a show schedule; and a resource guide. In addition, online users can register daily to win DIY's Blog Cabin by entering on DIYnetwork.com, beginning Thursday, Aug. 16 until Monday, Oct. 1. At the end of October, DIY Network and DIYnetwork.com will hand the cabin's keys to one lucky sweepstakes winner!
