CINCINNATI, Jan 19, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Scripps Networks Interactive Inc. (NYSE: SNI) has unveiled a newly designed logo that captures its pursuit of new opportunities and experiences across multi-media platforms and provides a visual link to the company's heritage of excellence.

With its clean, circular form, the logo is intended to convey the image of a new and dynamic growth company with a distinctive and contemporary identity. The respect and trust earned by the Scripps family name is reinforced in the abstract "S" within the mark.

"In re-designing our company logo, we wanted to capture the very real sense that Scripps Networks Interactive is a growing and vibrant 21st century company and also remind our many stakeholders of the great heritage of the Scripps name that serves as the solid foundation for the company," said Kenneth W. Lowe, chairman, president and chief executive officer.

The angled white lines that are contrasted in the translucent circle evoke a sense of movement - representing energy and growth - and hint of the past lighthouse rays of the Scripps heritage. They also foretell a future built on interactivity.

The newly designed logo represents the company's continuing evolution since Scripps Networks Interactive became an independent, publicly traded company on July 1, 2008.
