KNOXVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 17, 2011-- Strengthening its industry-leading ad sales teams, Scripps Networks Interactive has elevated Jon Steinlauf to executive vice president, ad sales & marketing. Steinlauf, who previously held the title senior vice president, oversees efforts of the company's award-winning ad sales and ad sales marketing teams. He is based in New York.

Responsible for the strategic direction of the ad sales and integrated marketing efforts of Scripps' lifestyle media brands - HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel and Great American Country (GAC) - Steinlauf has successfully elevated Scripps' reputation with advertisers for being the most upscale cable network group and having the most engaged viewers of its leading brands in all of cable.

Steinlauf began at Scripps Networks in 2000 as vice president of ad sales, where he directed the advertising sales for HGTV and DIY Network within the Eastern region and successfully developed strong relationships for these brands. Prior to Scripps, he served as vice president of ad sales for Turner Broadcasting's TBS and TNT networks, and as director of ad sales at ESPN. He began his career as a media buyer at Young & Rubicam.
