KNOXVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 27, 2015-- Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc. (NYSE: SNI) has named media and entertainment industry veteran Dylan Jones as Executive Vice President and Chief Communications officer to oversee global strategic messaging for the company. He previously has been serving as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications.

In his expanded role, Jones will have direct management and oversight responsibilities for the company's public and media relations, investor relations, internal communications, creative services, customer service and event marketing functions. Based in Knoxville, Jones will report to Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Kenneth W. Lowe.

Jones joined Scripps Networks in August 2014. He previously had led global communications and marketing as a member of the senior management team for EMI Group, one of the world's leading music businesses. Jones also managed his own communications consultancy based in New York City, advising companies in the technology and advertising sectors among others. Jones started his career in entertainment journalism in the United Kingdom before moving into communications and public relations at MTV and VH1 in London. He is a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a bachelor's degree in history.

Jones succeeds Mark W. Kroeger, who has served as the company's Chief Communications Officer since 2013. Kroeger had served as Senior Vice President of Communications and Investor Relations starting in 2008 when Scripps Networks Interactive separated from its former parent, The E. W. Scripps Company. Kroeger, who has worked for the Scripps media companies for 37 years, will continue his long association with the company as Senior Advisor to the CEO.
