Dylan Jones brings extensive media and entertainment industry communications experience to leadership position
KNOXVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 6, 2014-- Media and entertainment industry veteran Dylan Jones has joined Scripps Networks Interactive (NYSE:SNI) as senior vice president of corporate communications.

In this new role, Jones is responsible for the direct management of corporate public relations, internal communications, creative services, customer service and event marketing for the company, which owns and operates HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel and Great American Country.
Jones is based at the company's headquarters in Knoxville, Tennessee. He reports to Mark Kroeger, executive vice president and chief communications officer.

Jones started his career in entertainment journalism before moving into communications and public relations at MTV and VH1 in London. During his five years with the company, he rose to lead consumer and trade communications for MTV Networks UK. Jones moved to Music Choice Europe in 2002, where he served as head of music and public relations before joining EMI Group in 2005. He relocated to New York City in 2007 to lead global communications and marketing for EMI Music Publishing, the world's leading music publishing business. In 2010, Jones was promoted to lead EMI Group's corporate communications as a member of the global senior management team.
Since October 2012, Jones has led his own communications consulting business, overseeing brand positioning, corporate strategy, marketing and communications campaigns for a diverse range of clients in media, technology and advertising.
Jones is a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a bachelor's degree in history.
