Prior to joining the Travel Channel team, Shuler served as a production executive, creating historical, popular culture, educational and reality programming for A&E Networks, Discovery Communications, PBS and Chicago Public Radio. For her role as a producer and writer on the oral history documentary “Voices of Civil Rights,” she received the George Foster Peabody Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism. The project collected thousands of personal histories from Americans who lived through the turbulent Civil Rights era. These interviews are now archived at the Library of Congress.
