Kathleen Finch is on a roll. She followed up last year’s promotion to chief programming, content and brand officer for Scripps Networks Interactive with record ratings for several nets and WICT’s “Woman of the Year” accolade. She’ll be feted at the WICT Touchstones lunch today at the NY Marriott Marquis, in conjunction with the annual WICT Leadership Conference and as part of Cable’s Diversity Week.

As you can imagine, the Woman of the Year is rather busy. But we managed to catch up with her just before she headed off for some well-deserved R&R in the UK.

What does it mean to you to be named Woman of the Year?
It’s incredibly special, but to be really honest, I don’t take it personally. To me, it feels like a great acknowledgement to the incredible teams that I have the honor of working with. We work together as one, so when one of us gets acknowledged for something, I really do take it as a testament to the work the team is doing.
