Ratings success continues for Scripps Networks Interactive, as consumers turned to the company’s lifestyle brands during the month of January. The company garnered more than 700 million digital video views, up 650 percent over last year, and enjoyed record-breaking views to all its network watch apps. In addition, Scripps Lifestyles Studios pushed both Food Network and HGTV into the top five social video creators in their respective categories as ranked by Tubular Labs. 
January 2017 was HGTV’s second highest rated January among P25-54 and W25-54. HGTV ranked as the No. 1 ad-supported network for weekends among W25-54. The net ranked second only to ESPN among upscale W25-54. Primary rating drivers for January were Fixer Upper, Flip or Flop and Property Brothers, while Sunday closed the month with Beachfront Bargain Hunt’s highest premiere of its 13-season run.
Food Network finished January with a primetime ratings lift of 2 percent among W25-54  over prior year, ranking it No. 7 in that demo and marking its highest delivery since 2014. Worst Cooks in America was the top-rated show of the month, up more than 30 percent over the prior season-to-date. The series has resonated on social video as well with “The Top Ten Worst Dishes” video garnering over 3 million views to date. Other top performers included Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Kids Baking Championship, Chopped and the newest series Ginormous Food, which beat year-ago time period levels by 30 percent.
Travel Channel concluded January with solid primetime growth among A25-54 (+14 percent), W25-54 (+9 percent), and Millennials A25-34 (+13 percent). Ratings drivers for the month included Expedition Unknown, Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations and Mysteries at the Museum specials, which saw 52 percent growth over recent Mysteries seasons.
On DIY Network, Tiny House Big Living experienced its strongest season ever, with ratings up 62 percent above the prior season. Ratings also were driven by premiere series launches of Holmes and Holmes, Restored and Maine Cabin Masters.
Cooking Channel tied with June 2016 as its highest rated month among P25-54 and W25-54, marking the tenth straight month of stable or growing primetime delivery among P25-54. The net enjoyed 26 percent year-over-year gains among P25-54 and W25-54. Dinner at Tiffani’s, Cake Hunters, Cheap Eats and Food: Fact or Fiction? ranked among the net’s top-rated originals.
GAC saw its highest rated January since 2009 among A25-54 in primetime, and it was the network’s tenth consecutive month of year-over-year growth among A25-54 (+13 percent) and M25-54 (+35 percent). Ratings drivers included My Lottery Dream Home, Big Time RV and Living Alaska.
