Vikki Neil currently serves as Senior Vice President/General Manager for Scripps Networks Interactive’s digital media properties, social platforms, and digital franchises, including HGTV.com, TravelChannel.com, FoodNetwork.com, DIYNetwork.com, CookingChannelTV.com, GreatAmericanCountry.com and Food.com. Neil also heads up Scripps Lifestyle Studios, the company’s full-service editorial unit focused on creating compelling lifestyle experiences across multiple platforms including social media, apps, websites and third-party digital media outlets. She executes short- and long-term planning and competitive mapping for digital strategy, while developing contingency and resource planning to evolve operational strategy. Neil oversees programming, social, community and overarching growth tactics that drive audience development and engagement metrics for site development. She was integral to the development and launch of FrontDoor.com (now a part of HGTV.com) which won the Inman Innovator Award in its first year.
Prior to her role managing Scripps Networks Interactive’s digital properties, Neil spent three years leading the E.W. Scripps newspaper division's online sales and product strategies for real estate, employment and auto categories. Before that, she worked for Walt Disney's internet group in product development for ESPN.com, ABCNews.com and the rest of Disney's online portfolio. Neil also served as an online site director for an ABC station affiliate in Tampa, bringing one of the first broadband video focused websites to a local station.
Neil began her career as an online sales representative for the St. Petersburg Times and Knoxville News Sentinel, working several years managing online sales for both newspapers.
Neil has been named one of CableFAX’s “Most Powerful Women in Cable” and to its “Digital Hot List.” In 2017, she was honored in the Corporate Visionary category by Cynopsis at their “Top Women in Digital” Awards. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and MBA from East Tennessee State University.
