Position: Senior Vice President, Corporate Development
As Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Scripps Networks Interactive, Julie Yoo is responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing acquisitions, joint ventures, investments and partnerships that support the company’s growth objectives. The work of her team has helped secure Scripps Networks Interactive as a leader in lifestyle programming for television, the internet and mobile platforms.  

Since joining Scripps Networks in 2010, Yoo has helped direct the company’s acquisitions of Asian Food Channel and Travel Channel International, as well as playing a key role in making venture investments in Tastemade, Refinery29 and other digital partnerships in the United States and abroad. In 2015, Yoo helped execute Scripps Networks’ successful acquisition of TVN in Poland. The acquisition of TVN is a major milestone for Scripps and creates immediate scale internationally. Additionally in 2015, Yoo was honoredby NAMIC with their Next Generation Leaders Award.

Prior to Scripps Networks, Yoo was at NBCUniversal where she advised senior GE and NBCU executives on evaluating strategic priorities, acquisitions and divestitures. She assessed potential transformative transactions and also oversaw the merger of NBCU’s stake in A&E Networks with Lifetime.  

Before joining NBCU, Yoo served as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers, where she advised leading businesses in the media industry.  

Yoo received both a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She resides in New York City with her husband and two daughters.
