Position: General Manager, Content Acquisitions and Operations
Jonathan Sichel is the General Manager of Content Acquisitions and Operations at Scripps Networks Interactive and is based in New York. In this position, Sichel oversees the business and legal affairs of global content acquisition and advertising-content partnerships for the company’s linear and digital platforms.

Prior to his current role, Sichel was the Managing Director of the London-based United Kingdom, Europe,Middle East and Africa (EMEA) unit. Sichel was named one of the “Top 50 TV Executives” by Digital TVEurope in 2014. Before London, Sichel served in multiple leadership roles including General Manager of Scripps Network Interactive, General Manager of Travel Channel and Senior Vice President of Commercial Affairs and Operations for Travel Channel.

Before joining Scripps Networks Interactive, Sichel was Vice President of Business Affairs at Discovery Communications. Sichel also spent time in various business affairs and development positions at AOL,iCAST, Launch Music (now Yahoo! Music) and E! Entertainment Television.

Before entering the media world, Sichel was an associate at a Los Angeles law firm. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Affairs from Princeton University, where he supervised construction of the world's longest banana split – which measured 4.39 miles. He earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Harvard Law School. He has been an Adjunct Professor at American University and served on the Regional Council of the United Way of the National Capital Area.
